Friends of Smyrna Library plans Roaring Twenties murder mystery night

(SmyrnaVinings.News) — Friends of Smyrna Library will present a Roaring Twenties-themed murder mystery night Oct. 30 at Brawner Hall, inviting guests to gather clues, question suspects and try to identify a fictional killer.

The event features The Murder Mystery Company and begins at 7 p.m. at Brawner Hall, 3180 Atlanta Road SE. Guests must be at least 16 years old.

Light appetizers and nonalcoholic beverages are included. Costumes are encouraged but are not required, and organizers say guests may choose costumes from any genre.

The plot: The evening’s story takes place at the estate of Sir Warren Peace, where a gathering turns into a whodunit as someone begins killing the invitees. Guests will work to uncover which member of the party is responsible while wondering who might become the next fictional victim.

The event description encourages participants to “bribe” suspects for clues and gather information to solve the mystery. The premise puts guests in the role of investigators, with the story unfolding around a crowd of potential suspects.

What to expect: The Roaring Twenties provides the evening’s theme, but attendees do not need a period costume to participate. Friends of Smyrna Library is presenting the event, with The Murder Mystery Company providing the featured entertainment.

The gathering combines the fictional investigation with light refreshments at Brawner Hall. The announcement does not list a ticket price or an ending time.

Buy tickets: Ticket information and additional details are available through the Friends of Smyrna Library. The age requirement applies to all guests, so the event is intended for adults and teenagers ages 16 and older.
